With as little as GH¢900,000.00, one can get a four-bedroom house at Adentan in Accra, Managing Director (MD) of the State Housing Company, Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, has said.
The plan, he said, is part of measures to provide affordable housing to Ghanaians and also force real estate developers to reduce their prizes.

The four-bedroom housing units, he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, is “the most expensive State house in Ghana.”
Compared to real estate buildings in the country sold in dollars, he stressed that GH¢900,000.00 for a four-bedroom house is targeted at middle income earners.
The State Housing MD noted that there are two and three bedroom apartments with very flexible payment terms for the citizenry.

Mr Appiah was elated nearly 100 per cent of the housing projects were outsourced to contractors, however, the Company had been retooled, especially with construction equipment and others, to enable it to construct the houses on its own.
Other projects the company is undertaking is the ‘John Agyekum Kufuor’ estate, which is expected to contain about 120 houses in Kumasi, as well as other similar ones in Cape Coast, Sunyani and Tamale.
