We need full disclosure – Kweku Baako on teachers’ strike

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has advised that a full disclosure be made by the government to the public to clear the controversies surrounding the recent teachers’ strike.

In his view, a disclosure of a list of teachers who have been paid and the validation process will help clear the tension between the Ghana Education Service and the teacher unions.

“My position on this matter is a full disclosure of payment made and the beneficiaries should be made available for Ghanaians to know the truth. They should make full disclosure of the names and the validation process they’ve gone through,” he said.

He further said the issue of striking teachers is a serious one which should be dealt with urgently.
