Rachel Appoh, the former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, has, as part of this year’s Farmers Day celebration, donated to the youth in Agriculture association in the Gomoa Central Constituency.
Executives of the association received the items on behalf of over hundred young men and women.
The items include 150pcs of Wellington boots, 150 pieces of cutlasses and 10 pieces of streets lights to light up the dark farming communities and improve night life.
The items were worth a total was of GHS 22,600.
Members of the association are young people who have shown an enthusiasm in farming various products including vegetables, fruits, cassava, cocoa, among others.
Ms Appoh’s foundation, Obaa Sima Foundation, supported her magnanimous gesture.
