The Defence and Interior Committees of Parliament is demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of a man who allegedly demolished an office Complex owned by the National Peace Council.
The Peace Council expended GHC400,000 for expansion works upon receipt of a bungalow donated to it by the Works and Housing Housing Ministry.
But, an unidentified man has allegedly destroyed the building for reasons that are not immediately clear.
The committee members were alarmed by the level of devastation when they visited the sight during a fact-finding mission.
Ranking member, James Agalga, who fumed over the development demanded police protection for the Peace Council property while investigations continue to fish the perpetrator.
The Chairman for the committee, Seth Acheampong, also decried the development.
