Ghana’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland is confident the relationship between Ghana and the UK is very good.
According to Papa Owusu-Ankomah, “the growing relation between the two countries has seen the inauguration of the United Kingdom/Ghana Business Council which meets twice a year, one in London and one in Accra where discussions to improve trade and investments are held.”

Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Mr Owusu-Ankomah said there had been a significant improvement in the relationship between the two countries.
“Ghana-UK relations is very good, the highest and the best ever since independence under President Akufo-Addo and I have proposed to the British government to make Ghana a modeled Africa country post Brexit,” he said confidently.

He said Ghana is doing very well but more needs to be done due to global competitiveness.
“We need to work very hard to improve the system and minimise the bureaucracies and I will urge Ghanaians not to rundown the country because we have more to offer the world,” he urged.
