Ghana Publishing MD celebrates feat chalked

Managing Director (MD) of Ghana Publishing Company is patting himself at the back for turning the fortunes of the company around.

David Asante said his institution was on life-support and could barely generate enough revenue to sustain its operations when he took over in 2017 but through hard work, it is now viable.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, he claimed Ghana Publishing is now a competitive and profit-making agency.

“The President sent me there to turn the institution around and I have distinguished myself as a good and faithful servant,” Mr Asante said.

Highlighting among other things some innovative things his outfit is doing in order to bring more visibility and exposure to the company, Mr Asante was confident the state-owned company would stay relevant and competitive despite the rather challenging business atmosphere it finds itself in.

“The company has also re-branded and established a strong online presence, introduced a courier service, acquired new machinery and increased the numbers they had, renovated offices and business center to make the environment more conducive and attractive,” he noted.

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited is in charge of gazetting and printing all Government of Ghana documents including Acts, Bills, LIs and CIs, and engages in the sale of books and other publications. It also does commercial printing and publishing.
