Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, says he senses a disconnect in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) after announcing its ‘No Vote’ campaign towards the December 7 referendum at the party’s recent press conference.
To him, there is a certain element of bad faith on the part of the party with its sudden and emphatic ‘No’ relative to the upcoming referendum.
“Suddenly they are asking people to go for an emphatic ‘No’ relative to the referendum, this is too quick and sudden.

“I will give them the benefit of doubt that they were in support of this referendum, they were committed to the principle of partisanship both at the MMDCE’s and whether parties should be involved or not,” he said in an interview on Peace FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

“It looks like there is a certain disconnect when it comes to communication in the NDC. Their emphatic ‘No’ has created serious implications. What their press conference appears to be pushing is not an honourable one. If the ‘No’ came much earlier, I would have said it is a matter of principle,” he added.
