The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says reports of staff agitations will not interfere with their core mandate to deliver safe, quality and reliable power to customers.
A press release Saturday signed by Kwame Agyemang-Budu, the Managing Director of the power distribution company, said they are working in collaboration with the Public Utilities Workers Union to ensure customers are not affected.
Mr Agyemang-Budu explained that “the agitation relates to the realignment of some staff positions necessitated as a consequence of the termination of the PDS Concession Agreement by ECG.
“Being a change management process, management of ECG anticipated some challenges in undertaking the necessary realignment and therefore is engaging staff to address these challenges by ensuring a fair and speedy resolution of the issue.”
