National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Asunafo South is of a strong conviction that the erstwhile John Mahama administration implemented Ghana’s biggest social intervention policies.
To Hon Eric Opoku, social interventions were paramount to the NDC so the implementation were planned carefully.

“The New Patriotic Party (NPP) always questions our tangible social interventions but they (NPP) attested to many in their 2017 budget,” he said.
Speaking on Adom TV’s Badwam show, the legislator explained the NDC implemented the youth in apprenticeship to empower Ghanaians.
“The NDC government, as part of the Youth in Apprenticeship programme, provided sewing machines, hair dryers and also trained people with disability for IT services in Berekum,” he recounted.

The legislator further cited free school uniforms, free school sandals, free mattresses and free beds as part of the NDC’s social intervention policies.
