The opposition party National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reminded President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo of his promise of not running a family and friends government.
The Nationaal Communications Director for the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi gave the reminder on Adom FM‘s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Thursday, following the release of some 51 names believed to that of family members appointed into government by the president.

The list sought to say that the President, Nana Akufo-Addo was running a nepotistic government, contrary to his promise to Ghanaians in 2016.
Mr Gyamfi in driving home his argument cited an instance in which the United States barred public official from appointing relatives to civil and public positions in any agency over which such officials exercise jurisdiction.

He, therefore, called on parliament and civil society organisations in the country to support the NDC in pushing for the implementation of an anti-nepotism law to prevent public officials from being nepotistic.
