Legendary highlife musician, Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr, has narrated how music brought him satisfaction.

Speaking on Accra-based TV3, the ‘Awerekyekyere’ hitmaker explained how he feels “okay” when he listens to his old songs.

Coming from a music oriented genealogy, the singer disclosed that his music career started when he joined his father’s band, which was a great motivation to him.

He further moved to the national academy of music in Winneba where he pursued a three-year course because he wanted to learn how to use instruments to spice up his music.

Akwaboah Snr also disclosed he learnt how to play all musical instruments with the exception of horns, because to him, it was a difficult item to use.

According to the veteran singer, though he is a well known pianist, his favourite musical instrument is the base guitar.

He has six albums and releases songs within two to three years intervals.
