The Embassy of Israel in Accra has suspended daily diplomatic activities in Ghana until further notice, a statement from the Middle East country has said.
The embassy has attributed the suspension to it calls “internal budgetary issues between the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel’s Ministry of Finance”.
The said, “internal budgetary issues” have resulted in strike actions by all Israeli missions abroad thereby affecting the country’s diplomatic operations in Ghana too.
The affected services of the embassy include “consular services, meetings and events” and the strike actions, according to the statement starts from Wednesday 30th August 2019,

The Embassy of Israel in Accra would like to clarify that, the embassy has had to suspend all its daily diplomatic activities such as consular services, meetings and events, as of Wednesday 30 August 2019, due to internal budgetary issues between the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Israel’s Ministry of Finance.
This strike action is being carried out by all Israeli Missions abroad.
Israel and Ghana have good and long-lasting relations, that hopefully will last until the end of days.
The Embassy will continue to give services and resume its diplomatic activities in Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone once the internal difficulties are resolved.
