Demolish all houses on Aburi Hills – MP

-

New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Constituency in the Eastern region, Samuel Ayeh-Paye, is calling for the demolition of all houses on the Aburi hills.

According to the MP, who is also as the chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Roads and Transport, the demolition will help to reduce pressure on the rocks along the Aburi-Peduase enclave.

“The road was not like this when it was constructed under former President Kufuor; unfortunately when people were allowed to build on the hill, it affected the rocks and geologists raised concerns about it,” he said.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Starr FM, monitored by Adomonline.com, he urged the residents along the enclave to appreciate the danger the situation poses to them and other citizens.
