Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States of America (USA), Dr Baffour Adjei Bawuah, has said most Ghanaians in the United States have not registered with the embassy.
According to Dr Bawuah, most of the citizens prefer to live in solitude than to mingle and socialise with their fellow Ghanaians.

“The data of citizens available to us is not respectable. People work at the same place and don’t even want others to know they are Ghanaians which is not good,” he said.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Dr Bawuah urged Ghanaian citizens to register with the embassy to enable easy coordination of activities in the States.

“The data is to help us support our citizens in times of crisis but most Ghanaians abroad do not register with the respective Embassies so it is difficult to find them and help in times of challenges,” he said.
To the Ambassador, there are about 30,000 Ghanaians in Worcester-Massachusetts alone which means a lot of Ghanaians are in the States.
