I didn’t build my school for money – Lil Win

Popular Kumawood actor, Lil Win, born Kwadwo Nkansah, has disclosed that his aim for building a school located in the Ashanti region was not to make money.

“People ask why I don’t take money, for me money isn’t everything, life and strength are all I need,” he said in an interview on Hitz FM’s morning show Daybreak Hitz.

The actor cum musician, revealed that the school (Great Minds International) ought to have taken not less than GH¢ 2,000.00 as tuition fees for each term, but it takes as low as GH¢100.00 as tuition fees because he built the school for God and country.

“And even with that, some parents can’t still afford it and come to beg for admission for their wards,” he said.

He further revealed that, he personally pays the salaries of the teachers of the school.

Addressing the show host’s worry over the high level of insults in Kumawood movies, Lil Win said a Kumawood movie can’t be made without insults.

This is because most Kumawood movies contain scenes of conflicts, however, an actor or actress should be able to limit the extent of insults in such scenes.
