A suspected bank robber, who stormed the Kasoa branch of the GCB bank, has been arrested by the Kasoa Divisional Police command.
Reports indicated that the suspect, identified as Kojo Appiah, stormed the bank premises wielding cutlass and other offensive weapons around 2:00pm on Friday afternoon.

Speaking in an interview with Adom News, some customers, who were at the bank, disclosed that the suspect announced his presence through a megaphone.
“We were inside the bank when we heard a man with dreadlocks in white announcing the owner of the bank has arrived for his money,” he said.

“Those at the ATM immediately bolted while the security locked the gate for those inside and went to call the policemen around who fired three shots at him but still to no avail till a man hit his neck and he fell,” they narrated.
Meanwhile, one police officer, identified as Inspector Charles Yeboah, who sustained injuries in the struggle, is receiving treatment at the Kasoa Polyclinic.

However, a sister of the suspect has revealed they were shocked when they heard of the news because her brother was not that kind of person.
