In her welcome address, the Co-Founder of AfricMedia Galaxy, Maame Biama Akwafo said, the award is to celebrate the distinguished women who have worked tirelessly to bring a difference to their society.
“Ghana Most Inspiring Women’s Awards 2019 seeks to acknowledge and honour successful Ghanaian women who had a very tough upbringing but did not allow their poor upbringing to deter them or weigh them down and have been able to reach heights and have also positively contributed to the Ghanaian economy and other economies of Africa and the world,” she stated.
Maame Biama Akwafo added that, AfricMedia Galaxy and Women In Aviation – Ghana Chapter were in partnership impacting generations and creating a learning space for the youth of this country especially the young underprivileged girls.
“We have created a platform to give exposure to girls in deprived areas of Ghana who lack inspiration, mentorship, life coaches and career guides,” she noted.
For his part, Bright Appiah, the Executive Director of Child Rights International (CRI), a non-governmental organisation, who was the special guest, commended AfricMedia Galaxy and Women In Aviation – Ghana Chapter for honouring the women.
