General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, seems to agree with his opponent in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) concerning the recent happenings at the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).

Addressing the media on Tuesday, NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia insisted that the President “lowered the bar for the fight against corruption at the Bar conference.”

On claims that the government saved about GH¢2.75 billion by reviewing sole-sourced procurement contracts, the NDC scribe challenged the President to publish the full list of such projects.
Mr Boadu, reacting to Mr Nketia’s assertion, said he agrees with the NDC chief scribe.

He said if PPA claims it saved the nation about GH¢2.75 billion, then it would be prudent for the company to furnish the public with details of the projects.
“I agree with Asiedu Nketia on that level. If PPA claims their work has saved the country that huge amount of money, then they should be swift and publish the entire work for us to verify that indeed they saved more than the NDC government,” he told Accra based Okay FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.
He, however, accused the NDC of fabricating corruption allegations against the Akufo-Addo government.
