The financial sector reform has cost us about GHc14billion which we haven’t even spent on road constructions and there is the need for in-depth discussion to create an understanding for people, the minister of information said.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr Oppong said: There are still some misconceptions on the financial sector reforms, especially the cleanups and some people think it was a deliberate action to collapse some banks.

We need to explain to Ghanaians why we started that in the first place, the success stories and the way forward. It will be broadcast live on many media platforms and I believe we can all have time to listen, he added.
