Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs, has described as unfortunate comments by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam Nartey George, that the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) sponsored his opponent, Michael Kwetey Tetteh during the recent NDC parliamentary primary.
According to the social commentator, the Ningo Prampram MP has too many enemies in his constituency, therefore, it was important that he gives thanks to God for his win rather than cast insinuations, which to him are unnecessary.

“Sam George has too many enemies in his constituency…but God was on his side and so he should give thanks to God.
“If it is true he made those statements, it’s most unfortunate. The best thing for him to do is to go to the house of his former chairman, embrace him and bring him on board and even make him his campaign manager to solidify his votes in that constituency,” he told Accra based Peace FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

The MP for Ningo Prampram has accused the NPP of sponsoring his opponent during the recent NDC parliamentary primary.
According to him, some powerful individuals within the government pointed it out to him in the company of John Jinapor, MP for Yapei Kusawgu that they were going to make sure that he loses his seat during the parliamentary primary.

“A very key person in the government said to me that ‘look we are taking you out…you can go up and come, we will take you out’…and I saw the mighty hand of the State in this election,” he alleged.
But, Mr Jacobs believes it is important that the Ningo-Prampram MP works harder and stops accusing his opponent to maintain unity in his constituency as the party seeks to win the 2020 elections.
