“I’m in pain; it is very devastating.” These are the words of former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs who is a customer of Gold Coast Fund Management.

According to him, his hard earned cash is locked up at the company which is a subsidiary of Groupe Nduom and this is making it difficult for him to expand his business.

Mr Jacobs, who is now at a crossroad, expressed disappointment in the Groupe chairman, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom whom he described as an “astute businessman.”

“Is it that all those people calling themselves business tycoons are all conmen?” He quizzed on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme, Tuesday.

The former NDC Chairman could not fathom why many educated people could fall prey to such a “scam”.

“Has Ghana been producing conmen instead of big time businessmen? This boom in the financial sector that has led to collapse of these businesses should be a lesson to us,” he added.
