Mr Appiah was reacting to a decision by the families of the three girls not to cooperate with the police as forensic investigations of some human remains retrieved from a septic tank near the main suspect’s house are ongoing.

The families expressed disquiet at the way the police handled the processes leading to the discovery of human remains linked to the three missing girls.

In support, Mr Appiah on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme, Tuesday blamed the police for the intransigent position taken by the families.

He called on the State to take the affected families through psycho-social services to ensure that they are in the right frame of mind to handle the incident.

The girls, Ruth Quayson, Priscilla Blessing Bentum and Priscilla Koranchie were believed to have been kidnapped between August 2018 and January 2019.
