Some members of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) met with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday, July 12, 2019, at the Jubilee House to discuss issues pertaining to the creative arts industry in Ghana.

During the meeting, Dr Bawumia commended the Union for creating the Aging Musicians Welfare Fund to take care of old musicians and also for instituting a Presidential Grand Ball to celebrate music heroes and heroines.
He assured them of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government’s resolve to continue to develop the creative arts industry.

Dr Bawumia shared the photos of the meeting on his Facebook page with the caption:
“This evening, some members of MUSIGA paid a courtesy call on me at the Jubilee House to discuss issues pertaining to creative arts.
“I commended the Union for creating the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund to take care of old musicians and also for the institution of Presidential Grand Ball to celebrate music heroes and heroines.
“I assured them of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo government’s resolve to continue to develop the creative art industry.”
