2. Long hot shower
A hot water shower after a long day at work may seem relaxing but it can take a toll on our skin. Long hot showers can strip away hair and skin’s natural oil and moisture.
3. Aggressively scrubbing your scalp
If you use your fingernails to scrub your scalp, then you can cause more flaking. And, scrubbing your scalp harshly can cause split ends and also cause hair damage.
4. Not cleaning a loofah
An old or not cleaned loofah can harbour a lot of bacteria. While taking a bath, you can redeposit all the dirt back on the skin. Make sure you clean your loofah every time before showering and replace it every three months.
5. Not using the right soap
Stay away from cleansers that are drying out your skin. Using too much soap can make your skin dry and patchy.
6. Taking too long to moisturise
After taking a bath, make sure you apply the moisturiser to lock in the moisture. Make sure you apply it while your skin is still wet, this will keep your skin hydrated for hours.
7. You’re not rinsing right
While taking a bath, it’s important to rinse the soap and shampoo well. If you not removed properly, it can cause skin irritation, clogged pores and also acne.
