The principal streets of Accra is painted red as demonstrators match in protest of what they describe as untoward socio-economic hardships in the country.

Members of the Coalition are embarking on a demonstration dubbed “Kum Yen Preko” to register their displeasure over what they term as severe hardship in the country.

Clad in red, the ‘bitter-faced’ demonstrators held placards with the inscription; ‘419 GOVERNMENT, ‘REDUCE COST OF FUEL; NOW’, ‘AKUFO-ADDO PREZ AT LARGE‘ and many others.

Members of the group say they are unhappy with the state of insecurity, attack on media freedom among others.

Dubbed: ‘Kum Yen Preko’ protest march, the organisers – the Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ) said they will demonstrate until their needs are met by the Akufo-Addo government.

Protestors walked through some principal streets of Accra after which an address was made by leadership of the team.
