Afia Pokua of Adom FM, who is the founder of Vim Foundation, by way of putting smiles on the faces of pupils of Jacobu Methodist Primary and Junior High School (JHS), has donated tons of books to the school in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti region.
Afia Pokua and the Vim Foundation journeyed to Bekwai in the Ashanti region to fill up the empty library of the Jacobu Methodist Primary and JHS.
Speaking on why she chose Jacobu Methodist School, she said “it was a way to honour my mum’s alma mater during her teenage days.”
Meanwhile, she has pledged to build a community library for the people which she intends to name after her father.
Vim Foundation is a non-governmental organisation founded by Afia Pokua, popularly known as Vim Lady in media circles.
The organisation is noted for providing support for deprived schools in Ghana and in April 2019, the Foundation painted 12 schools in the Kwahu municipality during the Easter festive season.
