A passenger, who was in a bus travelling on the Atebubu-Kwame Danso road in the Bono East region on June 25, 2019 when they were attacked by six armed robbers, shot one of the robbers dead.
Information gathered by Adom News suggested that the robbers, who were in identifiable red top and brown khaki trousers, stopped the cargo car and other four cars in the middle of their journey and looted belongings of the passengers.

In an interview with the Atebubu Divisional Police Command, the police said “one of the passengers, who recounted his experience with highway robbers and always carry a pistol when travelling, shot into the robbers and killed one of them as the rest flee from the scene,” he narrated.
Four vehicles, including two Sangyoung mini buses and cargo trucks, were involved in the robbery with the deceased’s body sent to the St. Mathias Hospital morgue at Yeji for preservation and autopsy.
