Hot Audio: Major Mahama’s dad breaks down in tears while reading tribute

The father of the fallen soldier Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, Captain (rtd) Dennis Adam Mahama, has said he has lost a “generous and trustworthy son”.

Describing the 32-year-old, who was lynched at Denkyira-Oboase in the Central region barely two weeks ago, as a “gentle caring person,” the retired soldier believes his son’s death would be the beginning of the end to mob injustice in Ghana.

“Maxwell was such a gentle caring person and one wonders whether as a soldier he could even kill a fly. He was such a kind and generous person who loved sharing and all who have ever been around him can testify to this.

As a father, he insisted on giving me something from his small salary every month for which we had to come to a compromise. He could also take from me when the need arises and I from him similarly. He was such a reliable and trustworthy son, I will greatly miss,” retired captain Mahama said in his tribute at the funeral Friday, June 09, 2017.
