Police suspicion leads to arrest of 3 laptops, phone thieves

Three men have been arrested by the Assin Fosu Police patrol team in the Central region for allegedly stealing valuable items worth thousands of cedis.

The three, according to reports, stole HP and Dell laptops, five mobile phones, an IPad and GH¢ 14,400.00 from various people.

In an interview with Adom News, the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Commander, Chief Supt. Henry B. M. Bacho, who revealed the identity of the suspects, added that they were apprehended on board a taxi car with registration number AS 2928-17.

“The suspects have been identified as Isaac Yeboah,29. Kwabena Kumi and Kwabena Paul both 27 were arrested at Tarkwa by the patrol team who were curious at the time they saw the vehicle and decided to inspect it.

“They retrieved a phone number from one of the laptops believed to be the property of Ambert Company Limited,” he stated.

The suspects are currently in police custody pending further investigations.
