“Ghana Captain, Asamoah Gyan’s mother revealed herself to me many times and made it emphatic that her son would be disappointed as far as the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt is concerned,” the Founder and General Overseer of the God’s Crown Chapel, Prophet Reindolph Oduro Gyebi has disclosed.
According to him, he hardly sleeps because the late Madam Cecilia Love Amoako in a surreal form begged him to warn Asamoah Gyan to quit football in Ghana because he would be disappointed in the AFCON.

“Asamoah Gyan has already been declared spiritually that he won’t be given the captain-ship position and so his retirement is in order and so I’m happy he has come out to even declare his intentions.
“Let me tell you that, Asamoah Gyan’s mother revealed herself to me to warn her son not to play for Ghana again because he would be disappointed during the AFCON and when it happens, he should quit playing for Ghana and not dare go back else he would break his leg and won’t be able to play football in his entire life again,” he stated on Adom TV’s mid-morning show ‘Pampaso‘ Tuesday.
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has announced his retirement from the Black Stars with immediate effect.
In a statement, the striker said he will also not be available for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.

“Upon consultation with my family and team, and as an active footballer and captain of the national team, if the decision of the coach is to give captaincy of the tournament to another player while I am named in the team for the tournament, I wish to recuse myself from the tournament,” Gyan said in a statement.
But Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, who once disclosed that the Black Stars will end their continental trophy drought by winning this year’s Africa Cup of Nations, has made a sudden U-turn.

According to him, if Ghana’s all-time highest goal scorer has decided to quit the national team and won’t be available for AFCON 2019, then the Black Stars will lose miserably.
“Ghana should not dare make a mistake and allow Asamoah Gyan to quit. If Asamoah Gyan is out of the team, then I want you to also know that Ghana will lose the AFCON because Gyan is the only one who has been gifted spiritually to help the team be crowned champions of Africa because Dede Ayew is not gifted,” he stated.
