Two young men have been arrested by the
Dominase Police for allegedly robbing a motorbike rider (okada rider) at Gomoa
Dominase in the Central region.
The suspects are Samuel Arthur (18) and
Emmanuel Kwasi Baidoo (20). The two were said to have been arrested at their
hideouts, Gomoa Akotsi and Gomoa Odumase respectively.
According to the police, the suspects
hired the services of the okada rider from Gomoa Dominase Township to Dominase
junction and upon reaching a section of the road, they poured powdered pepper
mixed with water into his eyes.
While struggling to cope with the
attack, the robbers snatched the motorbike and bolted.
Speaking to Adom News, the Gomoa Dominase District Police Commander, DSP Paul Ankan said with the help of other motor riders the suspects were apprehended.
DSP Ankan said the suspects would be processed
for court by Monday to face the law.
He commended motor riders in the area for helping the police to arrest the suspects and for also helping the police to gather intelligence to combat crime in the area.
