MTN teaches of the best way to express love on Vals Day

-

MTN Ghana says the best way to show love during this Valentine or Chocolate Day is to donate blood and save lives.

Many pregnant women, accident victims and other people have died untimely due to unavailability or shortage of blood at the various hospitals.

According to the World Health Organization, between 1-3 percent of a nation’s population should be blood donors but in Ghana, the situation is worse.

According to the National Blood Service, Ghana has an estimated population-based blood requirement of 270,000 units of blood but only 160,000 units of blood are collected which leaves the country with a deficit of 40%.

This year, MTN Ghana is using the Valentine day to donate 10,000 pints of blood Nationwide as a token of love for Ghanaians.

The Eastern Region is expected to contribute a minimum of 200 pints of blood to the National target.

Sales Manager in charge of Eastern/Volta Sector for MTN Ghana Mr Woasey David disclosed this in an interview with Adom News at Pope John Senior High and Minor Seminary during a blood donation exercise.

He says MTN Ghana declared 2019 ‘the year of the customer’.

David Woasey says,  MTN commits this year to delight the customers at all touch points and so have other health projects have been planned to improve the health care delivery to customers.
