I invested over GHC 250,000 in Menzgold; NAM1 isn’t fraud – Mzbel

-

Singer Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, says she is part of the tall list of celebrities who carried huge sums of money to invest in Nana Appiah Mensah’s (NAM1) gold dealership firm, Menzgold.

According to her, even though the company has folded up, she thinks the government should, if possible, give NAM1 the mandate to operate because “he can sort everyone out if he is given the chance to work.”

Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, Mzbel who initially didn’t want to declare how much she invested, later confirmed to putting in more than GHC 250,000 Ghana Cedis in the company.

Asked if she would take NAM1 to the court, Mzbel replied in the negative, maintaining that “I don’t think a demonstration is important. It’s business gone bad. Sometimes it works and risk is involved in businesses so I don’t need to make noise.”

Mzbel, however, condemned those who label investors of Menzgold as “greedy beings” who only cared about the huge interests they were promised per month.

“People are making it seem like people who invested are criminals or greedy. Menzgold isn’t a secret cult. I have been in so many businesses and risks are always involved,” she said.
