The Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court presided over by his Lordship Ebenezer Osei Darko has remanded the four soldiers who allegedly attempted to assassinate the Mankrado of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Kwesi Quansah I.
The leader of the group, Franklin Osafo and three others were identified as fake military officers by the Ghana Armed Forces upon interrogation.

The suspects were charged with attempted murder, conspiracy to commit crime, using military accoutrements and unlawful entry.
They have been remanded for two weeks into police custody and are to reappear before the court on February 6, 2019.

After court proceedings, mother of Franklin Osafo who was identified as the leader of the suspects, Madam Yaa Akyaah, appealed to the Omankrado of Gomoa Fetteh, Nana Kwesi Quansah to temper justice with mercy and forgive her son.
“Franklin my son has not even killed a Fowl before in his life so I nearly collapsed when I heard my son was arrested for such a criminal act,” he noted.
