PHOTOS: Manya Krobo residents demonstrate against their paramount chief for selling individual lands

Some chiefs, kingmakers, family heads, elders and members from five division of Manya Krobo namely Dorm, Manya, Suisi, Piengua and Akwenor are demonstrating against the Konor of Manya Nene Sackite ll for allegedly taking and litigating over individual and families lands.

The protestors also accuse Nene Sackitey 11 of imposing undue authority over the five divisions.

The group is also accusing the Konor of hiring the services of some Kuwaitis to exhume the remains of their ancestors buried in the heart of the Krobo mountains in search of gold, human bones, bottles, beads and other precious metals used to bury their ancestors.

They further alleged, Nene Sackite has employed the services of Land guards to intimidate alluvial land owners.

They say the continuous dictatorial leadership of the Konor if not checked by the security agencies could disturb the peace of Manya Krobo.
