CEO of Slip entertainment, Mark Okraku Mantey says he has been arrested and slept many times in police cells when he was an up and coming disc jockey.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Mark, the president of the Creative Arts council sharing his life experiences in the entertainment industry said he was once arrested for playing loud music in a serene neighbourhood in Accra.

“Kwame Sefa Kayi bailed me when I was in cells. I have slept in cells about 3 or 4 times. First time I played with Karim, who passed, I didn’t know the law because I was young then,” he narrated
“We were playing in Labone and one big lawyer called the police that we are disturbing and Karim insulted the policeman. So we were arrested and the same Karim bolted away,” he added.

The name Mark Okraku Mantey can be said to be influential in Ghana’s media space due to his works as part of the trail blazers to push entertainment forward in the country.
Talking to Andy Dosty, the man who doubles as the programmes manager at Hitz FM said it wasn’t easy putting structures in place to achieve the results happening today in the entertainment sphere.
Mark Okraku Mantey, received his Life Time Achievement award at the recently held 2018 Ghana DJ awards for his outstanding contributions across the country.
