Black Stars attacker, Asamoah Gyan, has revealed he is still haunted by that World Cup penalty miss.

According to him, he would change that incident if he had the power to change one thing about his celebrated footballing career.

The Black Stars skipper missed a penalty against Uruguay in South Africa, a kick which could have seen Ghana advance to the Semifinals stage of the 2010 FIFA World cup in South Africa and Gyan admits it’s the miss is a blot on his illustrious career.

“If I had the power to change one thing about my carrier, I will undo my penalty miss against Uruguay in South Africa because I am still haunted by that incident and I always feel bad about it,” he expressed.

The Kayserispor forward in an interview with Countryman Songo on Adom TV’s, ‘Fire for Fire‘ said he considers his spells with premier league side Sunderland and the United Arab Emirates after that World Cup as the most interesting parts of his carrier.

Gyan who turned 33 today holds the record for the most goals scored by an African player in the World Cup with six games.
