The late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremateng Agyarko was bitter for being ignored by his own party, the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has said.
According to him, the late legislator told him he was very bitter and angry with President Akufo-Addo for sidelining him and later sacking his brother from his government.

Joshua Akamba claimed the late Agyarko believes the removal of his brother, then Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko from office was a setup, a situation he said has made Mr Kyeremateng Agyarko bitter until his death.
“The man is bitter. You know I have spoken to him a couple of times and he told me one of his sisters is an ambassador and his brother has been given appointment but his case is different and because of that he [Agyarko] is bitter,” he said.

Mr Akamba made the assertions on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday.
Asked why he was now making such revelations, he said: “ I believe that when a person dies, we prepare tributes for the deceased and so that is my tribute to him,” he said.
He also added that the NDC will take up the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat in any bye-election that may be organised by the Electoral Commission.

“We will go there and take our seat; don’t forget that seat used to be an NDC seat and so we will go there and take the seat. If the president has taken Mr Agyarko for granted, then we will go and take our seat back,” he vowed.
