The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker, is questioning the impact newly elected national executives of National Democratic Congress (NDC) will have on the party.

Mr Duker believes the election of the new team will rather deepen the disunity in the party.

“It takes a field marshal who knows how to coordinate his team to lead. I don’t see this team working together. The delegates failed to elect people who would influence the party positively. They have rather deepened the cracks in the party,” he said on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” Tuesday.

Over 9,350 delegates voted to elect new executives to steer the affairs of the party ahead of 2020 elections.

The executives were elected to fill National Chairman, Vice-Chairman, General-Secretary, Deputy General Secretary, National Organiser, Deputy National Organiser, Communication Officer and the Zongo Caucus Coordinator positions.

But Mireku Duker is wondering how the NDC would be able to steer the affairs of the nation when the party failed to organise a congress which dragged for several hours.
