Pladis, the global biscuit, chocolate and confectionery company, which owns the iconic brands: McVitie’s, Godiva and Ulker, in association with its sole accredited Local Distributor, Far East Mercantile Ghana Limited (FMCL) have presented two TATA ACE Vans to 2 of their Distributors in a short ceremony in Accra, Ghana.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Patrick Osei-Adusah, Territory Sales Manager, pladis Global (McVitie’s Ghana) reiterated the company’s resolve to continue to provide wholesome, tasty and affordable biscuits to its Ghanaian consumers.
He said the award presentation was in recognition to the diverse roles played by Distributors and Wholesalers who have made the McVitie’s brand a great success story in Ghana. According to him “McVitie’s range of assorted biscuits entered the Ghanaian market over 40 years ago creating direct employment to over 500 Ghanaians and over 2000 indirect jobs”.
He thanked the two awardees and congratulated them for their awards urging them to invest more in their respective businesses, so they can get more rewards in the future. He
In his part, the National Sales Manager for FMCL, Mr Rahul K— emphasized the tremendous commitment and zeal exhibited by these 2 awardees from the beginning of the business year 2018 and therefore called on other Ghanaian Distributors and Wholesalers to emulate their feat.
The award winners, Household Ltd., Kasoa and Lufix Ent. Okaishie expressed their joy upon receiving the vans and jointly affirmed their resolve to put the vans to good use so they can expand their businesses and employ more Ghanaians.

Commenting on the promotion, Mr Vikas —-, Managing Director, Far East Mercantile Ghana Ltd. noted that, “This is the 2nd time in 2 years that Vans are been presented to deserving Distributors and promised the commitment of the two entities to continue to offer assistance to Ghanaian businesses”. He promised his company’s obligations to the business laws of Ghana by ensuring prompt payments of their taxes and operate within the business framework of the land.
