We expected to be consulted in conversion of halls in KNUST – Kwadaso MP

Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso Constituency, Dr Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah says he expected authorities running the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology to inform the alumni of Katanga hall on the decision to convert single-sex halls into mixed halls.

According to him, as an alumnus, he has keen interest in the ongoing KNUST protest, especially issues pertaining to the Katanga Hall.

In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Tuesday, the Alumnus of Katanga explained that there was a deeper connection with the hall that’s why the previous management consulted the Katanga alumni to have a consensus.

 “I do not understand why the current management refused to consult us about the conversion of halls like the previous management did. This is disrespectful,” he said.

He urged the current Management to keep them out of the dark with regard to decisions yet-to-be implemented to calm down the situation on campus.
