Two persons have been reported dead in the early hours of Tuesday in an accident at Bunso junction in the Eastern region.
The accident involving a tipper truck, sprinter and a cargo has left many injured.
An eyewitness identified as Gifty explained that a tipper truck driver from Accra heading to Kumasi lost control and ran into a cargo with traders with their goods along with a sprinter bus that was loading along the road.

“The speed ramps could have helped reduce the impact but he couldn’t control his brakes and I think it’s because he was overspeeding,” the eyewitness narrated.
Two of the passengers in the sprinter, together with the traders in the cargo, have been reported dead with one person’s head cut off.

Others have also sustained serious injuries and have been rushed to the hospital.
A combined team of police and personnel from Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene to support the injured persons.
