Deputy General Secretary of Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), Emmanuel Nana Poku has rubbished the public perception that his union sides with political parties in the country.
According to him, the mere fact that they applaud good works done by political parties, with no regard to incumbency, doesn’t mean they are partisan.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s political talk show Ekosii Sen on Friday, he urged members not to make such criticisms get to them since there is nothing wrong with expressing their grievances.
“We should d away with vilifying our own members; that will bring about disunity, it will hinder us from achieving the common good of the union,” he advised.
