Head of the Ghana Association of Songwriters (GAS), Emmanuel Barnes, popularly known as Mr Logic, says even if the media forgets Shatta Wale, he would still reign on the streets.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Mr Logic slammed the assertion by some people that Shatta Wale has been sidelined in the media, limiting his relevance.
“The Media is a corporate environment but the street is not. People in the media space have a casual lifestyle but those on the streets have a different vibe altogether. What is music without hit? The media can propagate Shatta Wale to be dying but on the grounds, he’s not,” he told Andy Dosty.

Entertainment pundit and host of ‘You Say Wetin’, Prince Tsegah had asserted that Ghana’s media was tired of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.
According to him, the dancehall artiste’s constant attacks on other artistes are making him lose some friends in the media.
Mr Tsegah’s conviction follows Shatta Wale’s description of his colleagues, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy as hypocrites.

“The euphoria around him has gone low and if the media stops talking about you, that’s the end of you. I think he should court a better relationship with the media. He has stepped on so many toes and he is paying for it. People are tired,” Prince said on Hitz FM.
But according to Mr Logic, Shatta Wale can be said to be one of the reasons why the entertainment industry is thriving, whether it is so or not.
He explained that most of the agenda in the media can be traced back to the Shatta Movement (SM) boss.
“Without Shatta’s submission, what would we discuss this morning? In the political space, there is always a new headline. In entertainment, where are the headlines? They are limited. Our industry is too calm and quiet. Brands like Shattas are needed in this country,” he said.
