Don’t misunderstand Mahama – Prof. Agyekum to gov’t

-

Dean of School of Performing Arts, Prof. Kofi Agyekum, popularly known as Opayin Agyekum has commended the government and Ministry of Education for the progress made so far with the double track system.

He has, however, expressed his displeasure certain members of the ruling party (NPP) who appear to have misunderstood former president Mahama’s comment about reviewing the double track system if he comes into power in 2020.

According to him, reviewing the double track system isn’t the same as abolishing or stopping it but rather putting the necessary measures in place to rectify any mistake or making adjustments to see to it that the many challenges are resolved to improve the programme.

He said it was about time Ghanaians stopped politicising every issue in the country and focused more on the collective development of the country instead of being political about everything.
