Audio: John Boadu suspects sabotage in NADMO relief items

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu is suspicious of the manner in which executives of the opposition NDC in Wa in the Upper West region are making ugly noises following the distribution of expired food items to flood victims in Wa.

His suspicion follows a demand by the Upper West branch of the NDC for Dr Bawumia to apologise over the donation of the expired relief items on behalf of the government.

NADMO has since accepted responsibility for the “error”, insulating the Office of the Vice President from having a hand in the purchase of the items.

But John Boadu on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Wednesday said although the development is very worrying and unfortunate, NDCs incessant ranting over the issue doesn’t add up.

He wondered why the party is dragging the image of Vice President into the incident when he has no control over the items which were supposed to be under the supervision of NADMO.

To him, the NDC is only on an agenda to make the Akufo-Addo government, especially the Vice President, unpopular in the region just to score a political point.

“I think this issue is an eye opener and there are more questions that need to be answered. NADMO should really be sure if indeed the items purported to be expired are really expired foods.

“They shouldn’t waste their time on any committee. It’s obvious something just doesn’t add up,” he said.
