A 24-year-old man, Isaac Arthur, a native of Gomoa Tarkwa in the Central region, has been arrested by the Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command for trading in substances believed to be cocaine.
The Assin Fosu Divisional Police commander, Chief Superintendent Henry B.M Bacho who confirmed the news to Adom News said his outfit had information that the suspect was terrorising people with guns at Assin Fosu Ajip over a missing goat so he dispatched a team of policemen to restore calm at the place.

The team of police officers who went to the scene embarked on a swoop where the suspect was arrested.
When a search was conducted on him, 42 parcels of substances which he [Isaac Arthur] later confirmed to be cocaine was found on him.

Upon interrogation, the suspect said he received the substances from a dealer in Cape Coast to retail in Assin Fosu.
The young man added that he accepted to do the business because there was no alternative job for him.

“My father is dead while my mother has no job to cater for me so that is the only option I have now,” he said.
The suspect said each of the parcels goes for GHC10.00, adding that his consumers are in and around Assin Fosu.
Chief Supt. Bach said the suspect would be arraigned before the court to face the law.
