Brong-Ahafo Regional NADMO Coordinator, Konlaabig Rasheed has vehemently denied the accusation that he squandered School Feeding Suppliers money in the region.
One Akufo Atiemo who claims to be a school feeding supplier earlier accused Konlaabig Rasheed of squandering his GHC62,000 for food he supplied to schools in Dormaa.

Atiemo said he was not the only victims of Rasheed, and that many others like him have been chasing the latter for their money but to no avail.
According to him, he met Rasheed during a visit by the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to the region and when he asked for his money, Rasheed claimed he did not know him.
“Till date, I have don’t have my money,” Atiemo said.
But Konlaabig Rasheed, who doubles as NPP Brong-Ahafo Regional Organizer has flatly denied the accusation saying he does not even know Atiemo and he suspects some people who are bent on destroying his hard-won reputation in the region are behind those allegations.

According to him, as Regional Organizer, he only facilitated the process for qualified party members to get contracts with the Buffer Stock to supply food for the School Feeding program, but that was done through third-party contractors.
He said the food suppliers, therefore, worked through those third party contractors and not through him directly so their funds were paid through those contractors.
Rasheed said he is therefore surprised that this chap called Atiemo would single him out and accuse him of stealing his money.

“Maybe during the process, the contractor he worked with may have mentioned my name but that does not mean his money or any supplier’s money was paid to me,” he said.
Rasheed said he is investigating the matter himself and would, therefore, urge any affected food suppliers to visit the party office or the Regional NADMO office for assistance instead of running to the media to make unfounded allegations.
