NPP deceived Ghanaians with juicy promises during 2016 elections – Ofosu Ampofo

-

Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, says the incumbent New Patriotic Party lied their way to power in the 2016 December elections.

According to him, Ghana’s economy has been in an awful shape since its handing over to Nana Addo’s government.

He explained that the NPP’s manifesto was full of promises that were out of reach yet Ghanaians were convinced by the “lies” and voted them into power.

They lied their way to power. It is not insulting. Nurses are picketing and others…People are complaining because they have reduced the truth – the reality…” he said on Asempa FM’s flagship show, Ekosii Sen on Tuesday.

Mr Ofosu Ampofo also lambasted the double-tracking educational system yet to be implemented by the NPP. He described the policy as bogus saying:

I know we don’t rush through education reforms. E block takes 1,500 students if only Nana Addo finished Mahama’s infrastructure. It takes 18 months to build one. It’s [double tracking] a lazy way of solving the [educational] problems in the country. They are wasting the taxpayers’ money,” he noted.
