Eastern Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has revealed that new regional executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) were sponsored by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The motive, David Prah noted, is a strategy by the NPP to takeover NDC in its bid to win all Parliamentary seats in the Eastern region.

There was almost a total overhaul of the Eastern Regional NDC executives in its primaries over the weekend.
Incumbent chairman, Bismark Tawiah Boateng, lost to John Owusu Amankrah popularly known as Jowak in his attempt to seek another term.
The only survivor was the Regional Secretary, Mark Oliver Kevor who polled 538 to beat his main contender, Baba Jamal Konney who also polled 365 votes.

The executives who lost in the elections, however, suspect foul play. Key amongst them is Mr Tawiah Boateng who has accused former President John Mahama and other executives of masterminding his defeat.
He has threatened not to campaign for the NDC in the 2020 elections as a revenge for their loss.
But before that dust could settle, NPP’s Eastern Regional Communications Director, David Prah on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Tuesday claims the NPP’s Regional Chairman, Kingston Akomeng Kissi personally funded majority of the aspirants who won.

“Chairman Kissi gave some of them money so the new executives are NPP representatives in the NDC” he scoffed.
He noted that such strategy was replicated in all regions to ensure the NPP has an upper hand in the operations of the NDC.
David Prah said given the circumstance, the 2020 elections will be cool chop for the NPP and President Akufo-Addo.
